“Working with Seven Sixty, once the bar code has been scanned on delivery we can see within 20 seconds who has signed for it, what time it arrived and that it has the customer’s approval.
“It gives us full traceability, as sometimes the delivery can be to a building site.
“We also have a lot of timed deliveries with big warehouses, where if you miss your slot you risk being turned away. Our new logistics partner Seven Sixty have been brilliant for us. We know that once the product is on their van it will be delivered.”
For Cistermiser and Keraflo, Seven Sixty provides a ‘round robin’ service, making deliveries within a 250-mile radius then calling into the Reading-based company’s suppliers on the return journey.
Steve added: “It means our logistics operations are highly efficient. As soon as the van is empty it goes to our suppliers and picks items up, keeping carriage costs to a minimum.”
Seven Sixty, which is also based in Reading, has been operating courier, warehousing and distribution services for nearly 30 years and is a member of the National Courier Association.
Simon Adams, Managing Director of Seven Sixty, said: “We’re delighted to add Cistermiser and Keraflo to our large, prestigious and growing client base.”
